london based music producer/solo artist gaudi's eclectic style and versatility has kept him at the forefront of his field throughout a notable and prolific career. his music, which is an organic fusion of dub, electronica and worldbeat is on the playlists and regularly being performed live in the uk and internationally. he has been stretching the boundaries of music since the start of his career in the early eighties. a classically trained pianist and theremin player with a fascination for anything that could produce sound distortion, his musical foundations were set in electronic and reggae music.

gaudi has remixed a vast array of artists, most notably: bob marley, lamb, simple minds, trilok gurtu, fatboy slim, scissor sisters, nusrat fateh ali khan, 1 giant leap, ojos de brujo, artful dodger, africa bambaataa, and shpongle.

in the studio gaudi has collaborated with reggae greats horace andy, dennis bovell and the legendary lee scratch perry, as well as with ashtech, greg hunter, sounds from the ground, pete namlook and antonio testa. with 11 albums to date, 250 music productions, 80 remixes and more than 100 compilations featuring his tracks, gaudi has a very solid catalogue behind him.

besides his studio work, gaudi is constantly touring with live performances and dj sets. captivating numerous fans around the world with his original formula of “dub n’ breakz”, he fuses the roots of reggae music with “cuttin’edge” new electronic beats. in the last few years he has performed at some of the major music festivals worldwide, such as: skol beat (brazil), glastonbury (england), earthcore (australia), boom (portugal), roskilde (denmark), glade (england)), omni (spain), shamrock (france), vancouver jazz festival (canada), no man's land (hungary), wickerman (scotland), transmusicales (france), turaya gathering (england), chillennium (ibiza), sunrise celebration (england), electric picnic (ireland), gatecrasher (england), sonica (italy), the big chill (england), babylon (turkey), existence (spain), dreamdaze (ibiza), time zone (italy) and reggae sunsplash.

since the original release of bass, sweat & tears on interchill, gaudi put together the dub compilation sub signals vol.1 with immediate positive worldwide feedback, and his production trademark is also imprinted on the debut album from ashtech - walkin' target - which he produced and co-wrote. the album includes 4 tracks featuring the inimitable voice of "cheshire cat" from legendary production team "leftfield". gaudi’s tracks also appear on the 2007 interchill compilations bliminal and devil in the detail, the 2005 releases dissolving clouds and sanctuary and on the digital only interchill artist sampler.

gaudi’s latest release “dub qawwali”, on respected label six degrees, blends organic and digital dub stylings with original vocals of nusrat fateh ali khan. the result is a moving body of work that respectfully brings khan’s qawwali songs together with jamaican dub via superb 21st century studio techniques. strong initial cd sales, especially in usa, coupled with a hectic recent touring season suggest that gaudi’s fanbase will continue to grow.
